Image of The Week: Myanmar – Anyone For a Ride?

This weeks image was captured in front of the old Bagaya Monastery on the outskirts of Mandalay at the historic township of Innwa. The very old wooden Monastery and the remains of the Royal Palace and Fort have been well preserved and maintained and well worth the visit.

There are many small villages located amid Innwa’s (previously named Ava’s) ruins and the best way to get around is via horse and cart. This man was waiting for the people he had ferried to the site and was more than happy to have his photo taken.
