After many years of travel, I regularly get asked how many countries have you visited. In short, I wasn’t really sure until I researched this post. It seems the United Nations list of 192, is based more on politics and economics, and less on how the dictionary defines a country.
A heat map of the world that indicates the most popular places in the world based on the number of geo-tagged image uploads to the Panoramio service. The map seems to line up with the United Nations World Tourism Organizations rankings from 2009.
Jason has traveled the world extensively during the last 20 years, with overland journeys on six continents and across over 90 countries.
This site serves as a chronicle of the images and tales from these journeys, as well as offering advice and general information for other like minded travelers.(Or the armchair traveler, if your that way inclined. We don't discriminate here.)
