The vast openness of the Mongolian Steppe is quite a site. This is a harsh, but very beautiful country, and the nomadic lifestyle of those who live on the Steppe has to be admired.
Whilst walking the streets of Hoi An, I sat down in the shade and this very old lady approached me. To me, her face was a time line of Vietnam’s last century, and showed her hard and strugling life.
An image captured during our time in Vietnam back in 2006. I spotted this woman paddling her dugout close to the rivers edge, in the Mekong Delta region in the counties south.

This weeks image was taken at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation centre. Orangutans are exclusively found in Asia, and are the most intelligent species of all the worlds primates, and are also critically endangered.
Whilst heading out on our four day adventure on the Mongolian Steppe, we passed this very colourful religious Ovoo on the side of the road. I had to stop and get a photo of it, as it was one of the largest we saw,
Have you ever had a perfect travel moment. A time and place where everything just seemed right, a travelling nirvana. This is a short story about a time in my life where I was in such a moment, in India, back in 1996.
The Symphony of Light show that takes place nightly in Hong Kong is truly spectacular. Many of the buildings across this amazing skyline are illuminated, and on some nights if your lucky there will be fireworks.
It was close to dusk and I was walking along the water’s edge, camera in hand, when I caught a glimpse of these two men paddling completely in synchronicity with one another. The image was captured in Vietnam in 2006.
