Whilst visiting Cuba in the late nineties with a friend, I took this image in central Havana. It’s a pretty typical scene, with big old American cars parked on the side of the road, because fuel was so expensive that you would hardly see them being driven. The buildings were also in decay, and in need of immediate repair. If and when the American government allows mass tourism to this city once again, and hard currency begins to flow. It will become a tourist mecca, and the upside for tourism to Cuba, in my opinion is massive.

I would love to see this image in color! I was obsessed with the colors I found in Cuba. I’m going to be posting about my trip to Cuba starting next week. :)
Andi, It certainly was a kaleidoscope of color, but I chose this particular image to be viewed in B&W.
Cuba would be such a cool place to see. The closest I’ve come to visiting there is when a plane I was on flew over it and I could see it out the window. Great photo.
Steve, you must make the effort to get there before the country opens up any further. It’s a fantastic place, with great people.
